Atlanta Is 2020’s 10th Best Coffee City in America: Study

The personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2020's Best Coffee Cities in America.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta has been ranked as the 10th best coffee city in the United States, according to a new report released Wednesday.

With National Coffee Day around the corner and 62 percent of Americans drinking coffee daily, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2020's Best Coffee Cities in America.

To determine the best local coffee scenes in America, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 12 key indicators of a strong coffee culture. The data set ranges from coffee shops, coffee houses and cafés per capita to the average price per pack of coffee.

The Coffee Scene in Atlanta (1=Best, 50=Avg.):

  • 40th – Avg. Price of a Cappuccino
  • 16th – Avg. Spending on Coffee per Household
  • 47th – % of Adults Who Reported Drinking “Ready-to-Drink” Coffee in the Past Six Months
  • 11th – Coffee Shops, Coffee Houses & Cafés Per Capita
  • 54th – Coffee & Tea Manufacturers per Capita
