Atlanta Beer Scene Vying For Top National Honors

Vote every day in the USA Today poll if you think Atlanta boasts the nation's best beer scene,

ATLANTA, GA — Beer aficionados in Atlanta’s top breweries have it going on as of late, but USA Today is trying to determine the nation’s best by putting the matter to a vote.

Vote here daily through noon on March 13 to help Atlanta win.

A fast-rising name within the beer community, Atlanta is among the 20 cities from around the nation vying for top honors as America’s best bar scene.

The charming Georgia capital was lauded for its craft beer scene that has been steadily growing in recent years, thanks in large part to the rise in newcomers like Orpheus Brewing, Wrecking Bar, The Porter Beer Bar and The Brick Store.

Grand Rapids, Michigan, currently ranks first in the voting as of late Monday afternoon, followed by Asheville, North Carolina, and Fort Collins, Colorado, Minneapolis and Chicago tentatively round out the Top Five.

Atlanta currently stands at No. 15.

Other contenders for the honor include Tampa, Cleveland, Philadelphia, San Diego, New York, Seattle, Portland, Oregon, Austin, Texas, and San Francisco.
