Atlanta Boat Show & Lululemon Sunday Sweat: Atlanta This Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – This weekend, the Michael C. Carlos Museum will feed curious, young minds with a telling of the story of Persephone. Additionally, Atlanta will also offer plenty to do for the adult crowd, including a cocktail class at The White Bull and the kick-off party for Fernbank After Dark. And for those with plans of future grandeur, the Atlanta Boat Show is also in town.

The Fernbank Museum is set to kick off a new year of science and sips at the kick-off party for their Fernbank After Dark series. The 21 and older affair will feature hands-on science activities, live music by dangfly! and plenty of cocktails.

Boasting a lineup of Atlanta’s “finest stand-up comedians,” Laughs & Drafts will feature performances from seven local acts. Among the comedians set to bring-the-funny are David Perdue, Hillary R. Heath and Vas Sanchez.

Artful Stories: Persephone
Neighborhood: Emory
Specifically geared towards preschoolers and kindergarteners, this week’s Artful Stories installment will introduce the story of Persephone and her pomegranate seeds. As a special treat at the end of Persephone’s story, pint-size attendees will have the opportunity to nosh on their own pomegranate seeds.

Cocktails: An American Story
Neighborhood: Downtown Decatur
If you prefer your classic cocktail with a side of history, then head over to The White Bull for their Cocktails: An American Story series. As part of this series, which costs $55 per guest, The White Bull’s Beverage Director Matthew Scott will share the history of the cocktail. Attendees can also expect plenty of sips.

lululemon Sunday Sweat
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
Get ready to break a sweat at lululemon’s new training camp series, which is held at their Ponce City Market location. The class is free and open to the public, and is led by lululemon ambassador and former CrossFit competitor, Eric Pyne.

Atlanta Jewish Life Festival
Neighborhood: Downtown
Serving as a celebration of Jewish and Israeli arts, attendees can expect a day filled with performances, arts and crafts, community and more during the Atlanta Jewish Life Festival. Tickets to the festival are $18 per person, with discounts available for families.

Atlanta Boat Show
