ATLANTA, GA – This weekend in Atlanta provides yet another exciting opportunity to sip, savor and enjoy. On the sipping end, both the Black Owned Spirits Expo and Atlanta Winter Wine Festival are set to take place Saturday. There will also be plenty of art to savor at Jack Daniel’s Art Beats + Lyrics exhibition.

Lastly, weekend revelers can enjoy a lively story time during Drag Queen Story Hour or catch a live show from Lil Baby and Future. Here’s what is happening around the city:


Atlanta Boat Show

Whether you’re in the market for a new boat or are simply an admirer, all are invited to attend the Atlanta Boat Show. From nautical storytime to exciting fishing simulations, there’s something for just about everyone at this weekend-long boat show.

Art Beats + Lyrics

Neighborhood: Downtown

Jack Daniel’s is once again heading to Atlanta for Art Beats + Lyrics, its traveling urban art and music exhibition. In addition to art from a number of talented artists, attendees can also expect a special performance from Little Brother — and, of course, plenty of whiskey. Art Beats + Lyrics is free, but an RSVP is required to attend.

Free Vaccination Clinic

Neighborhood: Downtown

If your cat and/or dog isn’t quite up to date on shots, be sure to bring them to this weekend’s free vaccination clinic. Hosted by the Atlanta Humane Society, the clinic will offer the following veterinary services: heartworm test, microchip, feline distemper and more.

Atlanta Winter Wine Festival

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

Cheers to the weekend at the Atlanta Winter Wine Festival. In addition to over 50 wines, the boozy festival will feature beer, live music and a DJ. The Atlanta Winter Wine Festival is divided into two sessions, with tickets to each session currently starting at $45 per person.

Drag Queen Story Hour

Neighborhood: Old Fourth

Storytime just got a little more colorful thanks to Drag Queen Story Hour at Posman Books. This upcoming edition of Drag Queen Story Hour will feature none other than Edie Cheezburger. Additionally, the storytime session will spotlight unicorn books, and will also celebrate diversity and tolerance. The event is free to attend for children and adults.

2020 Black Owned Spirits Expo

Neighborhood: Downtown

Over the past several years, black-owned beer, wine and spirits have been taking the industry by storm. And the Black Owned Spirits Expo provides a rare opportunity to access all of these brands in one space. Among the brands taking part in the expo are Down Home Brewing and Uncle Nearest Whiskey. Be sure to grab your tickets before they sell out.

Future & Lil Baby Live

Neighborhood: The Battery

Two of hip-hop’s biggest stars will be bringing their live show to Atlanta on Sunday. An all-ages concert, the show is part of the pair’s No Place Like Home tour. For those attending, Coca-Cola Roxy offers general admission standing room and reserved seating on the mezzanine level.
