ATLANTA, GA — The Braves might have lost the first game of its opening round playoff series, but the best of five matchup is far from over. The team now turns its attention to Game 2 against the St. Louis Cardinals and tickets are still available for the rest of the series.

The Braves stumbled at home in Game 1, losing a close contest 7-6 after leading through the first four innings. Atlanta's bullpen self-destructed in the last two innings, giving up six runs combined.

The team will look to bounce back on Friday. In a must win situation, the Braves are turning to right handed pitcher Mike Foltynewicz to lead the way. Foltynewicz is coming off a strong 8-6 year with 105 strikeouts in 117 innings pitched.
Star player Ronald Acuna ended the night with three hits and a home run, but he also didn't appear to hustle out a play during the 7th inning. The move drew immediate ire from fans, and has overshadowed his stellar batting performance.

The loss was charged to Mark Melancon, who struggled mightily in an innings worth of pitching: giving up four runs and two walks.
