Preliminary Release:

On June 30th, 2021, around 7:2 am, officers responded to Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. NW and Mcafee St. NW in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 63-year-old male who sustained lacerations to his back and arm. The victim was alert, conscious and breathing and transported to the hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was walking when he was suddenly approached and assaulted by a male suspect. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
