Atlanta Police Department: Carjacking 14th And W Peachtree

On Friday July 9, 2021 at around 6:15am officers responded to W. Peachtree St  and 14th St NE on a report of a car-jacking. On scene the officers met with the victim who reported his black  Mercedes Benz  C-300 stolen by an armed suspect. The preliminary investigation found that the victim had been stopped in traffic when a Jaguar SUV bumped the rear of his vehicle. A male suspect got out of the Jaguar and approached the victim in his car. While the victim was outside the suspect, armed with a handgun, got into the victim’s car and threatened the victim with the firearm. The victim was armed and fired at the suspect who drove away. The suspects in the Jaguar were also armed and the victim fired at them as well. The vehicles continued to drive away and the Jaguar was found wrecked a few blocks away. The Mercedes has not been recovered. No injuries were reported and the Robbery Unit is investigating.
