Atlanta Public Schools has released the latest data on coronavirus cases in the district.

ATLANTA – Atlanta Public Schools has released the latest data on coronavirus cases in the district.

For the week ending Oct. 30, one COVID-19 case was reported at Douglass High School, Hollis Innovation Academy and Slater Elementary School. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate reported two COVID-19 cases.

Each Friday, schools are asked to report the number of new cases that were identified in the previous seven days to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

According to the report, the 14-day case rate is categorized as "high" and the trend is "increasing." A high rate means there are more than 100 cases per 100,000 people reported. An increasing trend indicates a greater than five percent change in the number of new cases.
