Atlanta Restaurant Inspections: 'Observed Brown-Like Substance on Ice Dispenser'

Sure, you love the food but it seems to taste better when you know what the score from their latest food inspection. Here are some restaurant and food service inspections conducted recently in Atlanta and parts of Fulton County. To see more information about the eating establishments, click on the date or score

The state uses a point system in rating the food industry. Each item is valued between 1 and 9 on an inspection form. Points can be deducted (often shown in red) as well. More points can be taken based on the greater risk of sickness and repeat violations be mean even more subtracted from a restaurant's score.
Scores from 90 to 100 are signified by the letter A. From 89 to 80 is a B, from 79 to 70 is a C and a U is for less than 70.

  • Inspector: "Observed brown like substance on the interior of the self beverage ice dispenser and the interior of the ice machine located in the back kitchen area near the walk in cooler. Clean frequently. New Violation."
  • "Observed failure of employee to properly wash hands at front employee hand wash station. Employee must use disposable paper towel or similar clean barriers when touching surfaces such as a manually operated faucet handle. COS. Employee rewashed hands using paper towel to turn off faucet. Corrected On-Site. New Violation."
