Chando's Tacos To Bring NorCal Burritos To Buckhead

Sacramento-based quick-serve taco chain will open its first location outside of Northern California this Spring in Buckhead.

ATLANTA — NorCal burritos — Northern California, for the uninitiated — and all of the accompanying, delicious taco-adjacent fare are coming to Buckhead.

When Sacramento eatery Chando’s Tacos makes its entry into the Atlanta market this spring, the chain of quick-serve taco restaurants looks to expand throughout the Metro area.

“This will be the first of many here in Buckhead,” owner and founder of Chando’s Enterprises, Lisandro “Chando” Madrigal said in an Instagram video.

According to What Now Atlanta, the menu will include, of course, tacos and NorCal burritos. But the variety will extend to other offerings, including tortas (Mexican sandwiches), nachos, tostadas, mulitas and flautas. A signature menu specialty will be Chando's Papas — a meat selection topped with nacho cheese, cilantro, onion, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and pico de gallo all atop Chando's crispy Fries.

The Buckhead location at 2900 Peachtree Street expected to open in May, Madrigal said. It will be the first of his locations outside of the Sacramento area, according to the Sacrament Business Journal. According to reports, Madrigal currently operates a food-truck business, seven Chando’s Tacos locations and a pair of cantinas in the northern California area.
