Cherry Blossom Festival And Placita Friday: Atlanta This Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – As Women’s History Month comes to a close, there's still time to round up your best girlfriends and celebrate. The wellness site OMNoire has partnered with Tropicana Juices Probiotics to host a free day of health and wellness. Plus, a women’s summit will be held at the Loudermilk Conference Center on Sunday, featuring empowering master sessions, cooking demos and more.

You can also opt for a Puerto Rican-style party called Placita Friday at restaurant El Super Pan this weekend, or enjoy a music and arts extravaganza at Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival.

Placita Friday

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

Attend Placita Friday at Ponce City Market restaurant El Super Pan, and you’ll be transported straight to the lively streets of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The party pays homage to La Plaza de Santurce in Puerto Rico. Also known as Placita, La Plaza de Santurce is an open-air meeting place filled with restaurants and bars. During the El Super Pan event, there will be cocktails from Don Q rum and Puerto Rican-inspired tapas.

Torched Hop 3rd Anniversary Celebration

This weekend will serve as an all-out celebration for Atlanta brewpub Torched Hop. Saturday’s celebration will feature an assortment of hoppy IPAs and other specials. And in addition to the IPAs currently on draft, Torched Hop will be releasing six additional IPAs.

V-103 Live: An Evening With Maxwell

Neighborhood: Downtown

With multiple Grammys and a number of other awards under his belt, R&B crooner Maxwell is expected to put on quite the show at State Farm Arena this weekend. Hosted by Atlanta radio station V-103, the show will also feature a set from Tennessee-born singer KEM. Tickets to Saturday’s show currently start at $79.

Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival

Neighborhood: Brookhaven

Described as a music and arts extravaganza, the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival is more than just a celebration of the stunning cherry blossom tree. The festival will boast a hearty line-up of musical performances, as well as activities for all. There will be an artists market, a Kidz Zone, a classic car show, a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and plenty of other exciting activities.

Atlanta Persian Festival

Neighborhood: Midtown

Over the years, Atlanta has gradually become home to those from around the world. With such a global presence, events like the upcoming Atlanta Persian Festival have become commonplace in the city. Established in 2013, the Atlanta Persian Festival will feature Persian music, food, dance and numerous other cultural activities.

Her Village

Close out Women’s History Month on a high note with a holistic gathering of women put on by The Village Market ATL.
