Cool On Thursday, But Great Weather Lies Ahead For the Metro Atlanta Area

This weekend should provide the perfect weather to get outside in the metro Atlanta area.

ATLANTA, GA – One more day of cooler temperatures and things will be very nice again in the metropolitan Atlanta area for much of the next week.

Thursday’s high is only expected to reach around 60 degrees, but things will begin warming on Friday before temperatures begin hovering in the mid-70s for much of the next week with little chance of rain in the forecast.

Make plans to do something outside because it’s going to be beautiful.

Here's a look at the extended weather forecast for metro Atlanta from the National Weather Service.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 60 degrees. East wind around 15 mph., with gusts as high as 25 mph. Mostly cloudy that night with a low of about 47 degrees. East wind around 10 mph., with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny with a high temperature near 68 degrees. East wind around 10 mph., with gusts as high as 15 mph. Mostly cloudy that night with a high around 54 degrees. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a high near 75 degrees. A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms that night, but mostly cloudy with a low temperature of around 57 degrees.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but mostly cloudy with a high near 74 degrees. A 30 percent chance of showers that night, but mostly cloudy with a low temperature of around 57 degrees.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but partly sunny with a high near 76 degrees. A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms that night, but mostly cloudy with a low temperature of around 58 degrees.
