Delta's Rolling Out New Layer Of Protection For Atlanta Travelers
Delta is rolling out antimicrobial bins in partnership with TSA this week.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is taking extra security measures during the pandemic. The airline announced that they will bring out antimicrobial bins this week at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Delta and the TSA are partnering together and said that this will assure travelers that their belongings will remain clean and safe as they pass through security.
According to Delta, the new bins prevent the growth of a “broad spectrum of bacteria through antimicrobial technology that is built into the bin and continuously minimizes the presence of microbes throughout the bin’s lifecycle.”

Proactive and protective measures at security checkpoints will continue to be implemented, said the TSA to “to make the screening process safer — high-touch screening equipment and bins are cleaned hourly, and other surfaces are cleaned daily or as needed in airports nationwide.”
Delta is rolling out these antimicrobial bins to automated screening lanes in Atlanta, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia and New York-JFK starting this week and continuing throughout the month.
