Exhibits, Carnivals And Festivals Galore: Atlanta This Weekend
From the Food-O-Rama Food Truck Festival to the Wanderlust Festival, check out all of the events taking place in Atlanta this weekend.
ATLANTA, GA – Festival season has officially begun here in Atlanta! This weekend, look out for lively displays and gatherings like the Spring Festival On Ponce or the Food-O-Rama Food Truck Festival. For a more mindful festival experience, there’s also the wellness-geared Wanderlust Festival, which boasts a variety of enticing yoga and fitness workshops.
And once you’ve had your fill of festivals, head to Dad’s Garage for their Big Stupid Parking Lot Carnival or ZuCot Gallery for the opening of the HER. Exhibit.

HER. An Exhibition Opening
Neighborhood: Downtown
Exhibits from black female artists will be on full display during the exhibition opening for HER. Among the featured artists are Georgette Baker, Yoyo Lander and Charlotte Riley Webb. There will also be a special performance from opera singer Malesha Taylor.

Spring Festival On Ponce
Neighborhood: Druid Hills
Set in historic Olmsted Linear Park, the Spring Festival On Ponce has become a much-anticipated festival in Atlanta. With more than 125 local and regional artists, the two-day festival will showcase an array of items that will all be available for purchase. There will also be food and drink, as well as a dedicated children’s area.

Food-O-Rama Food Truck Festival
Neighborhood: Grant Park
Hundreds of hungry Atlantans are expected to gather in Grant Park this weekend for the fourth annual Food-O-Rama Food Truck Festival. Unlike a number of food festivals, entry to Food-O-Rama is completely free. In addition to food trucks from across the Southeast, the festival will also include craft beers and cocktails, local arts and crafts and live music.

Big Stupid Parking Lot Carnival
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
Although Dad’s Garage Theatre Company has bid adieu to BaconFest, they’re gearing up to launch their brand-new concept: the Big Stupid Parking Lot Carnival. Similar to BaconFest, the Big Stupid Parking Lot Carnival will serve as an annual fundraiser for the theatre. Serving as a 21 and up carnival, the event will feature beer, food and rides. Attendees can also expect plenty of games and carnival booths (think Redneck Wine Tasting and Wheelchair Obstacle Course).

Brookhaven Beer And Wine Festival
Neighborhood: Brookhaven
For a boozier festival experience, head to Brookhaven Park for the Brookhaven Beer And Wine Festival. The even will feature tastings of more than 150 beers and wines. Advanced tickets to the 21 and up festival start at $45.

Wanderlust Festival
Neighborhood: Midtown
Described as an “an all-out celebration of mindful living,” Wanderlust will consist of a days’ worth of yoga, fitness classes, music, food and more. The Sunday schedule for Wanderlust, currently boasts a class/workshop lineup that includes The Beauty Of Being, Cardio Pilates and SoundEmbrace Immersion.

Atlanta Streets Alive (Central)
Neighborhood: Downtown
Once again, it’s time for the streets of Atlanta to come alive with pedestrians and bicyclists. On Sunday, Atlanta Streets Alive will return to Peachtree Street for its open streets initiative. During the event, blocks of Peachtree Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, allowing those on foot and on bicycle to enjoy without disruption. Be sure to get there early, as the day will begin with opening ceremonies and a kickoff parade.
