ATLANTA, GA — The last weekend before Christmas is here and with it comes a variety of activities, whether you want to grab a few holiday gifts or just unwind with friends and family. Sip on a special You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out cocktail during a free screening of “A Christmas Story.” Or, if you’re a fan of Hallmark’s holiday movies, check out an improvised Hallmark movie at Dad’s Garage.

If you’ve already reached your quota this year for Hallmark holiday movies then it’s time to go bigger. Head over to Dad’s Garage Theatre Company for a completely improvised Hallmark holiday movie. The event will be helmed by Atlanta’s own Topher Payne, an actor and playwright who has written several holiday movies for the Hallmark channel.

Enjoy drinks, art and live jazz, during the High Museum Of Art’s monthly Friday Jazz At The High series. This month’s featured musician is Tyrone Jackson, a jazz pianist who is also a professor at Kennesaw State University. Friday Jazz At The High will also feature Drawing In The Galleries, which will offer guests the opportunity to sketch live, clothed models.

Savage Fam And Friends Philanthropic Holiday Dinner And Party

The Atlanta creative community will come together in a celebration of philanthropy on Friday night. The evening will begin with a private dinner and will conclude with a dance party deejayed by the renowned WERC Crew. Tickets for the private dinner are $20 and the dance party is free with an unwrapped toy donation.

“A Christmas Story” Free Screening

Despite being released 35 years ago, “A Christmas Story” remains a holiday classic. And to celebrate the holidays, City Winery is hosting a free, all-ages screening of the film. For those in the mood for an adult sip during the screening, City Winery will be serving a special You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out cocktail. The cocktail will feature coconut milk, cinnamon, vanilla and rum.

The Village Market Holiday Mall Tour

Brunch just got a little cooler thanks to the Pajama Brunch Buffet at The Shed at Glenwood. This weekend, the restaurant invites you and your brunch crew to don your coziest pair of jammies as you indulge in their full buffet. Among the bites you can expect are biscuits with honey butter, French toast, and fried chicken and gravy. And of course, it wouldn’t be brunch without bottomless mimosas.
