Three suspects arrested in violent protests after a Georgia Tech student was shot and killed by police were granted steep bonds Wednesday.

ATLANTA, GA -- Three people facing criminal charges in the violent protests that rocked the campus of Georgia Tech earlier this week had their bonds set Wednesday, according to news reports. The trio were arrested after a vigil Monday night for Scout Schultz, the student who was gunned down by police over the weekend, turned violent.
Jacob David Wilson, 22, of Atlanta is being held on a $107,000 bond while Vincent Castillenti, 31, of Decatur has a $50,000 bond and Cassandra Monden, 20, of Marietta has a $20,000 bond, local media reported. The steep bonds were for the trio's alleged actions during the violent protests, including one of them being accused of jumping on a police vehicle. Wilson is accused of striking an officer, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Schultz's death has sparked cries for campus police reform and sensitivity training for officers to be able to deal with people suffering with depression.

The university also identified the officer in the shooting as Tyler Beck. Beck joined the force in May 2016 and while he was certified by the Georgia Peace Officer and Standards Training Council, he had not undergone Crisis Intervention Training, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
