Guaco Taco Fest And Sundays At The High: Atlanta This Weekend

Sample a new local beer, celebrate the delicious flavor of avocados or check out the latest exhibits at the High Museum for free.

ATLANTA, GA — From new brews to mouthwatering bites, there's something to satisfy all tastes in Atlanta this weekend.

The Georgia Aquarium is celebrating their seventh boozy collaboration with Atlanta Brewing Company with a brewery bash. And closer to downtown Atlanta, the Grant Park Conservancy will toast to all things wine and cheese with a festival on Saturday. Round out the weekend with free admission to the High Museum of Arts on Sunday.

Puffin Porter Release Party

Neighborhood: Westside

To celebrate their seventh beer collaboration, the Georgia Aquarium and Atlanta Brewing Company are hosting a kick-off party this Friday. Sip on their brand new Puffin Chocolate Porter, which is brewed with cacao, as well as other selections from Atlanta Brewing Company's extensive lineup. Live music and food trucks will be on hand during the celebration.

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

Husband and wife duo Amena Brown and DJ Opdiggy are bringing spoken word, comedy and music to The Roof at Ponce City Market. Libations will be available throughout the night and guests can nibble on sliders, mac and cheese, house-made chips and dip, and chocolate banana pudding.

Guaco Taco Fest

Neighborhood: Midtown

An ode to the avocado (and tacos), Guaco Taco Fest will feature sample size bites from a number of Atlanta eateries, including Babalu, Mezcalitos, and The Real Mexican Vittles. Tickets to the festival start at $15, with samples available for purchase for $3.

Grant Park Wine and Cheese Festival

Neighborhood: Grant Park

With a paid ticket to the Grant Park Wine and Cheese Festival, you can enjoy complimentary wine and craft beer tastings. In addition to sips, various cheeses and charcuteries will also be on hand for sampling.

Avondale Art Walk

Neighborhood: Downtown Avondale

Hit the pavement with Explore Avondale for their Avondale Art Walk. This family-friendly event will allow attendees the opportunity to enjoy live music, exhibits, art demos, local food and beverages.

When: Saturday, Nov. 10, at 5 p.m.


Second Sundays At The High

Neighborhood: Midtown

Visitors can take advantage of free admission to the High Museum of Art on the second Sunday of the month. Current exhibits at the High include "Hand to Hand: Southern Craft of the 19th Century" and "With Drawn Arms," a collaboration between artist Glenn Kaino and Olympic gold medalist Tommie Smith.

Atlanta United vs. NYCFC

Neighborhood: Downtown

After Atlanta United defeated NYCFC last Sunday, the second leg of the MLS Eastern Conference semifinal is now headed to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
