ATLANTA – Known for his leadership in helping to grow H. J. Russell & Company and founding the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, H. Jerome Russell, is one of the first guests on H. J. Russell & Company’s We Build: The Podcast. In episode 3, H. Jerome Russell shares the how and the why he spearheaded the development of the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs and the importance of wealth equity and building Black wealth.

“Right now, we are onto something that is really a nationwide initiative, and I’ve seen further data from these different thinktank organizations that metro Atlanta is the most fertile city to grow Black wealth of six critical southern cities,” said Russell. “The southern United States is where more than 50 percent of African Americans are located and live and where the majority of Black business are, so by focusing on these six cities, Atlanta included, there can be an $80 billion-dollar impact on Black wealth. Furthermore, Atlanta has the highest graduation rate of African American high school students of any of the six key southern cities, and also the highest number of Black undergraduate graduates in America, making corporations interested in investing here.”
