ATLANTA, GA – Whether you’re a hardcore vegan or a lover of nearly every frozen treat under the sun, ice cream is a treat that nearly anyone can enjoy. No matter which category you fall under, be sure to check out this weekend’s Atlanta Ice Cream Festival. And if fresh fruits and veggies are more your thing, then there’s also the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Garden Chef Demos.

An Evening Under The Stars

For an exquisite date night option, head to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History for An Evening Under The Stars. The intimate evening will consist of a cocktail hour followed by dinner, dancing and tunes from a live band. Tickets to the event start at $125 per person. Additionally, ticket sales will benefit the LPC Scholarship Fund.

Atlanta Ice Cream Festival

I scream, you scream and we will all surely scream for ice cream at the ninth annual Atlanta Ice Cream Festival. As expected, the festival will feature plenty of ice cream, but they’re also focused on showcasing that you can be a lover of ice cream, gelato, sorbet and other frozen goodies, and still live a balanced lifestyle. So, in addition to an ice cream eating contest, there will be yoga, Chinese exercises and more.

JJ's Flower Shop Grand Opening

It’s set to be quite the floral affair at the grand opening of JJ’s Flower Shop in Ponce City Market. To celebrate the occasion, there will be free flowers (one stem per person), giveaways, treats and drinks, and photo opportunities. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the team at JJ’s and explore their colorful selection of florals.

Max Lager's 4th Annual Old 320 Beer Fest

Known as the oldest brewpub in Georgia, Max Lager’s will soon hold its fourth annual Old 320 Beer Fest. The festival will “celebrate the independent and innovative culture of craft brewing.” Curious sippers can expect a selection of handpicked brews from Atlanta, Decatur, Athens, Savannah and other locations throughout the state.

Garden Chef Demos

If you’ve ever wondered how you can make the most of the edible additions to your garden then be sure to head to the Atlanta Botanical Garden for their Garden Chef Demos. As part of the demo, you’ll see how delicious recipes can be created using fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs. The demo is free with admission to the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Fit Life Health & Wellness Expo

Shark Week Launch Party

There are few things that bring people together quite like Shark Week does. In honor of this weekend’s launch of Shark Week, Southbound restaurant in Chamblee will hold their very own launch party. The party will feature a special cocktail menu, a slow cooked pig and more. Costumes are highly encouraged.
