On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 43 Jersey Mike’s restaurants throughout the Atlanta, Macon and Columbus areas capped their “Month of Giving” campaign for Bert’s Big Adventure by hosting a one-day community fundraising event: Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving.” One hundred percent of the day’s sales went directly to Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization founded by Bert Weiss, host of The Bert Show, that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. The entire The Bert Show cast and Bert’s Big Adventure staff kicked off the “Day of Giving” in a special way at a local Jersey Mike’s location, where co-hosts of The Bert Show, Davi Crimmins and Moe Mitchell along side the Bert’s Big Adventure staff, departed on a quest to visit every single one of the 36 Atlanta-area Jersey Mike’s locations.

This year’s “Day of Giving” set a new record for Bert’s Big Adventure by raising more than $189,000, which will not only aid in funding the organization's annual trip, but will also provide support for their year-round initiatives such as Reunion Adventures and the Fairy Godparent volunteer program.

“Our appreciation is endless. The Bert Show and Bert’s Big Adventure community showed up all over Atlanta, Macon and Columbus yesterday to help raise money on Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving,” says Bert’s Big Adventure founder and host of The Bert Show, Bert Weiss. “It is overwhelming and we can’t thank our supporters, the local Jersey Mike’s franchisees and their dedicated staff members enough.”

The Jersey Mike’s “Month of Giving” national campaign was modeled after the partnership that began nine years ago between Bert’s Big Adventure and Atlanta-area Jersey Mike’s franchisees, Ron and Dale Longo. Last year’s Month of Giving campaign raised more than $6 million for 170 local charities nationwide.
