ATLANTA, GA — From bottles of bubbly to Lego-building extravaganzas, this weekend in Atlanta boasts an ample variety of events. On the food and drink front, there’s the inaugural Taste Of Southwest Atlanta and the Champagne-laden La Fête du Rosé. For a more family-friendly option, head to Legoland Discovery Center for LEGO City: Report For Duty or put your soccer skills to good use at the CKSNI Soccer Tournament.

Just in time for summer, Legoland Discovery Center is offering a full day of activities as part of their LEGO City: Report For Duty series. Get ready to get hands-on as you build a rescue helicopter and take it on a test flight, film your own adventure scene using stop motion and much more. There will also be giveaways and the opportunity to meet the LEGO City Policewoman.

CKSNI Soccer Tournament

If watching Team USA during FIFA Women's World Cup has inspired you to lace up your cleats, head to Dresden Park for an evening of soccer. The Cross Keys Sustainable Neighborhood Initiative (CKSNI) will be holding their Fourth Annual CKSNI Football Tournament. There will be soccer games for different age groups, free food, raffles and a community fair.

La Fête du Rosé

After being postponed twice due to weather conditions, Mother Nature is finally playing nice with La Fête du Rosé. La Fête du Rosé is described as “a celebration of all things Rosé, including the wines, champagne and lifestyle.” Those in attendance should arrive clad in pink and white and sip on Moët Champagne and other variations of bubbly. If attending the bubbly affair is on your agenda, keep in mind that it is a cash-free event.

Taste Of Southwest Atlanta

Get your taste buds ready for the inaugural Taste Of Southwest Atlanta this weekend. A celebration of business, community, culture and connections, Taste Of Southwest Atlanta will feature bites from a number of local eateries. Attendees will also have the opportunity to savor music from talent in the area. With a focus on community, the inaugural event will provide an opportunity for residents to connect with community resources and partners.

Cooler Fest ATL

It’s not officially summer until you break out the cooler filled with brews and other warm weather necessities. If you’ve yet to partake in this summer-must, head to Cooler Fest ATL at Murphy Park. The BYOB event will celebrate African and Caribbean culture with musical performances and more. Among the acts scheduled to perform are Verse Simmonds and Teni. Tickets to Cooler Fest ATL currently start at $45.

Common With Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
