Temperatures will reach the 80s by Wednesday, but the threat of rain will extend all week.

ATLANTA, GA – It’s a good bet the likelihood of rain this week comes as welcome relief to those in the Atlanta area struggling with all the pollen everywhere.

Things figure to remain warm all week, but likely wet as well with the threat of showers and thundershowers likely to last through the entire week before clear skies. Temperatures figure to reach the 80s by Wednesday before cooling down somewhat by Friday.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 76 degrees. Southwest win 5 to 10 mph. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7 p.m. Partly cloudy that night with low of around 58 degrees. West wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thundershowers after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81 degrees. Northwest wind around 5 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m. Partly cloudy that evening with a low of around 60 degrees.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Partly sunny with a high near 80 degrees. Showers and thundershowers likely that night, mainly after 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy that evening with a low around 59 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday: Showers and thundershowers likely. Mostly cloudy with a high near 73 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Showers and thunderstorms likely before 9 p.m. Partly cloudy that night with a low around 52 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
