Mardi Gras On The Roof And Gardening 101: Atlanta This Weekend

ATLANTA, GA — This weekend there are plenty of lively parties to attend around the city. Atlanta United are back at it with a game on Sunday, so head to UrbanTree Cidery for a cider cocktail and their watch party. And with Mardi Gras taking place in March, the good times will be rolling at a crawfish boil atop Ponce City Market for Mardi Gras On The Roof.

And if nature seems a little more appealing to you this weekend, Truly Living Well Collegetown Farm will be hosting a Gardening 101 class.

The $30 admission to the class will grant attendees the opportunity to take part in an interactive discussion on composting, garden planning, year-round planting, seed saving, and more.

AAP Leadership Luncheon With Common

Neighborhood: Downtown

Soak up some knowledge from rapper/actor Common while also supporting a great cause, during the AAP Leadership Luncheon. The entertainer and philanthropist will detail how he was able to mesh his experience in Hollywood with his social justice work.

For the fifth time, the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is heading to Atlanta for what it describes as its annual “pork-out.” Once you need a break from all the grub and libations, be sure to check out the festival’s various seminars and their gaming area.

Mardi Gras On The Roof

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

This weekend, The Roof at Ponce City Market will be the place to be for Mardi Gras. In addition to holding a Mardi Gras party, The Roof will host a crawfish boil that includes whole boiled crawfish, andouille sausage, corn on the cob, red potatoes and more.

2019 Monster Energy Supercross

Neighborhood: Downtown

The home of Atlanta United and the Atlanta Falcons will soon be transformed into a dirt track for the Monster Energy Supercross. The Supercross will be preceded by a FanFest that will take place in the Home Depot Backyard.

Atlanta United Watch Party

Neighborhood: West Midtown

It seems like it was just yesterday that the entire city celebrated Atlanta United’s win at the MLS Cup. The first game of the season is set to take place this weekend, and UrbanTree Cidery will hold a special viewing to celebrate the occasion. Attendees can enjoy cider flights and cider cocktails as they watch the game on a projector.
