Netherworld Grand Opening & Mimosa Festival: Atlanta This Weekend
Scare yourself silly at Netherworld Haunted House or celebrate Latin culture at Festival de la Cultura Latina.

ATLANTA, GA – Horror fans are in for a treat this weekend thanks to the grand opening of Netherworld Haunted House. The haunted house will even welcome two new scares this year: Night Of The Gorgon and Cold Blooded. For a far-tamer option, there’s also the Old Fourth Ward Park Arts Festival, which will feature art from well-over 100 talented artists.

FLUX: Ponce City Market

Friday will welcome an array of art and installments thanks to FLUX: Ponce City Market. Consisting of several days, Flux: Ponce City Market was created by Flux Projects, which aims "to produce temporary art projects that connect and grow artists and audiences in Atlanta through the creative power of place.” Attendees on Friday can expect a performance at Tricia Hersey’s A Resting Place, a No Eyes performance with Otherpole in The Shed and more.

One of the most raved about haunted houses, which just so happens to be located in the metro Atlanta area, is opening its doors this weekend. Netherworld Haunted House will officially open on Friday, welcoming those eager for a good scare. This year’s haunted houses will feature all new attractions, including Night Of The Gorgon and Cold Blooded.

Old Fourth Ward Park Arts Festival
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
For two days, Historic Fourth Ward Park will play host to the Old Fourth Ward Park Arts Festival, a celebration of emerging artists. Those in attendance can expect to see art from up to 150 local and regional artists who have been carefully chosen. There will also be a children's play area, local food and beverage concessions and live acoustic entertainment at this free event.

Atlanta Mimosa Festival
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
The mimosa — it’s the unofficial drink of brunch enthusiasts everywhere. This combination of bubbles and orange juice is so celebrated that there’s even a festival held in its honor. Taking place on Saturday, the Atlanta Mimosa Festival will boast an array of mimosas and flavored mimosas. In addition to a dizzying assortment of mimosas, you can also sample a variety of beer and wine.

Festival de la Cultura Latina
Neighborhood: Downtown
If you’ve yet to check out The Home Depot Backyard, the outdoor area that rests in the shadow of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, now’s your chance. The Home Depot Backyard will soon serve as the location for Festival de la Cultura Latina, an exciting celebration of Latin culture. The day will welcome a medley of activities, from cooking demonstrations featuring local chefs to DIY workshops and activities.

FroRibbean Fest
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
Music-festival season is still going strong in Atlanta. The latest music fest to grace the city with a full lineup of talented acts is FroRibbean Fest. FroRibbean will include performances from well-over a dozen dance-hall, Afro-beat, soca and calypso acts and DJs. General admission tickets start at $50 per person.

Chalk Art Festival In Piedmont Park
Neighborhood: Midtown
Colorful chalk art has popped up all over streets and sidewalks in Atlanta, and thanks to its popularity the Atlanta Audubon Society has recruited amateur and professional chalk artists for the Chalk Art Festival. Those taking part in the festival will receive a 5 ft x 5 ft square, which they will use to create their very own work of art celebrating the state's native plants and animals. Although registration is now closed for chalk artists, the festival is open to attendees.
