New Jersey Fugitive Arrested In Atlanta In Slaying: FBI
Raheem Rudd, age 24, of Newark has been captured in Atlanta after eluding authorities in the death of a teenager in New Jersey.
ATLANTA, GA -- A New Jersey man was arrested in Atlanta recently in a slaying in Newark, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Wednesday. Raheem Rudd, age 24, of Newark was arrested after a brief chase in Midtown at 14th and Barnes streets, according to David J. LeValley, special agent with the FBI's Atlanta office.
Rudd, who is wanted by the Essex County (Newark) Prosecutor’s Office, is charged with the January slaying of 16-year-old Kevin Barber in New Jersey. Authorities allege that Rudd killed Barber and three other teens at a housing complex. Authorities believe the shooting was preceded by an ongoing dispute, which they have not divulged in detail.

Rudd is being held in the Fulton County Detention Facility, where he is awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
