ATLANTA, GA — Given that this year is a leap year, we’re all privy to having an extra day in February. So why not make the most of it by taking part in one of the numerous events happening in the city this weekend?

For those with a penchant for fast cars, there’s the Atlanta International Auto Show. If daffodils are more your thing, Oakland Cemetery will host Daffodil Day on Saturday. There’s also plenty more to choose from thanks to City Of Ink’s 13 Year Anniversary Show and the Oyster Crawfish Festival.

Atlanta International Auto Show

Neighborhood: Downtown

You don’t have to be a die-hard lover of cars to enjoy the Atlanta International Auto Show, since the show offers something for just about everyone. Described as “a showcase of over 400 new import and domestic cars, trucks, vans and sports utility vehicles,” the Atlanta International Auto Show will also feature ultra-luxury and electric vehicles for those ready to “ooh and “aah.”

City Of Ink’s 13 Year Anniversary Show

Neighborhood: Castleberry Hill

One of Atlanta’s most famed tattoo shops is celebrating its 13th anniversary this week, and it's putting on quite the show to celebrate. Attendees can expect art from over 50 artists, as well as a medley of DJs throughout the night — and, of course, plenty of food and drinks for purchase.

When: 7 p.m. Friday


Daffodil Day At Oakland Cemetery

Neighborhood: Grant Park

Spring hasn’t sprung quite yet, but if Daffodil Day at Oakland Cemetery is any sign, it should be arriving soon. “Each year, the blooms of thousands of daffodils brighten the dreary days of late winter at Oakland," according to a description of Daffodil Day. "Daffodil Day will celebrate these cheery blossoms when it returns to Oakland Cemetery.” Attendees can expect guided garden walks, children’s craft activities and more.

Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival

Neighborhood: Atlantic Station

The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is back for its eighth year, and you can expect an even bigger and better celebration of beer, bourbon and BBQ. New this year is a Cornhole Tournament, with a cash prize for the best cornhole players in the city. Also new this year is an enhanced gaming area and a special whiskey selection (international whiskeys and scotches) in honor of leap year.

Oyster Crawfish Festival

Neighborhood: Midtown

This weekend, crawfish and oyster aficionados will most likely find themselves at the Oyster Crawfish Festival at Park Tavern. Entry fee to the festival ranges from $35 to $65, and from there you’ll use tickets to purchase items such as one dozen fresh shucked oysters, fried shrimp basket or a crawfish platter with potatoes and corn.

The Groove Atlanta: R&B All Night

Neighborhood: Downtown

Described as “Atlanta’s premier party for R&B lovers,” The Groove Atlanta will feature a grooving assortment of new and classic R&B hits. This month’s party will include tunes from Wally Sparks and WERC Crew. Tickets to The Groove Atlanta are available for purchase for $20.

Williams Sonoma Class: Air Fryer Favorites

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

If you’re one of the many people who eagerly and enthusiastically purchased an air fryer with the hopes of cooking up all kinds of deliciousness, but ended up shelving your air fryer, this class is for you. During this class at Williams Sonoma at Ponce City Market, you’ll learn how to make a variety of brunch favorites using an air fryer, including egg bites.
