Pumpkin Festival Kickoff & Free Museum Day: Atlanta This Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – This weekend, Atlantans will have the opportunity to join the rest of the country in bouncing from museum to museum as part of Free Museum Day. And if you're in the mood to kick off fall a few days early, head to Stone Mountain Park for their Pumpkin Festival Kickoff.

You can also unwind with friends and family later in the weekend at Sunday Funday In The Park or Chocolate-Covered Weekend at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. And for the 21 and up crowd, there’s Beer & Boujee and the Atlanta Rosé Festival.

Beer & Boujee – The Ultimate Craft Experience

Neighborhood: Inman Park

Craft beer lovers who live for a good food and beer pairing will be in for a treat at Beer & Boujee – The Ultimate Craft Experience. Hosted by Chris “Thee Craft Beer Connoisseur” Hughes, the event will feature beer from Down Home Brewing, Khonso Brewing and Rams & Parrots, and will include bites from Chef Imesha Wells (Forks Only LLC).

Free Museum Day

A number of museums in Atlanta will join museums across the country as they take part in Free Museum Day, this weekend. Among the museums participating are the Ogelthorpe University Museum Of Art and The Patch Works Art & History Center. Pumpkin Festival Kickoff

Neighborhood: Stone Mountain

It’s time to fall into — well, fall! And what better way to jump into the season than with Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park? The annual festival kicks off this Saturday and promises to be bigger and better than before. Pumpkin Festival attractions include a pumpkin pie eating contest, carnival games and Lightning Bug Flashlight Tours.

Atlanta Rosé Festival

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

Weekends in Atlanta were surely made for sipping, and this weekend brings yet another wine festival to the city. This time around, the Atlanta Sport And Social Club promises that you will “live your best rosé life” at the Atlanta Rosé Festival. The $54 entrance fee gets you complimentary rosé and rosé-inspired craft beer tastings.

CURLFEST Atlanta

Neighborhood: Candler Park

Expect a day bouncing with curls, fellowship and fun, as curly girls from across the country gather in Candler Park for CURLFEST Atlanta. The one-day event will feature a CURLFEST Empowerment Stage, CURLFEST Vendor Marketplace and CURLFEST Beauty Row, so you can shop the biggest names in beauty and wellness. Tickets to the festival range in price from $30 to $60.

Chocolate-Covered Weekend

Neighborhood: Midtown

This weekend, the Atlanta Botanical Garden will host what they’ve described as “a delicious weekend of chocolate samples and fun family activities.” Attendees can stop by the garden’s Outdoor Kitchen for chocolate-centric cooking demonstrations and culinary tips.

Sunday Funday In The Park

Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

Who doesn’t love a day in the park, especially one with live music, food trucks and games? In addition to delicious food and games, Sunday Funday In The Park will also include a special performance from Atlanta’s own Cody Matlock. For those who really want to make the most of Sunday Funday, a member VIP tent option is available.
