Restaurants Named For New Atlanta Dogwood Festival VIP Events

The 81st Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival will be held at Piedmont Park from April 8-9.

ATLANTA, GA – Two of the upcoming Atlanta Dogwood Festival’s newest attractions have named the participating restaurants for the VIP affairs.

Backyard Bites & Brews and Backyard Brunch figure to be big hits among the throngs of people expected to pack Piedmont Park from April 8-9 for the 81st Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Tasty food and relaxing atmosphere where patrons can sit down, have a beer and enjoy the live music under a VIP tent is always appreciated.

Slated to run on Saturday, April 8 from 1-5 p.m., Backyard Bites & Brews is an all-inclusive event where attendees will be free to sample the many flavors of metro Atlanta’s restaurants, chefs and caterers. The participating eateries will compete for Best Bites as attendees vote for their favorite selections and areas. In addition to the chef samples, Backyard Bites & Brews will also feature sips and swigs from local and craft breweries.

Participating restaurants will include Cinnaholic, DAS BBQ, DNJ Sweet Treats, El Super Pan, Empire State South, Farm to Ladle, G.C. BBQ, HOBNOB, The Melting Pot, Peach & the Porkchop, Rock’s Chicken & Fries, The Shed at Glenwood, Smokebelly BBQ, Sprinkles Cupcakes and Venkman’s. Additional participating restaurants will be announced later.

Tickets are $30 until April 1, $35 in advance after April 1 and $40 at the door if available. Platinum tickets, which will include four drink tickets for a beverage of the attendee’s choice, will cost $50 in advance and $60 at the door if available.

The Backyard Brunch, which will run on Sunday, April 9 from noon to 3 p.m., will feature an all-inclusive lunch that will allow ticket holders the chance to savor those mid-day cocktails while enjoying the Main Stage live music. The VIP tent will remain open for ticket holders until 5 p.m.

Participating restaurants for The Backyard Brunch include Bon Glaze, Cinnaholic, D.B.A. Barbecue, Eclipse de Luna, The Nook, Sprinkles Cupcakes and Thrive. Additional participating restaurants will be named later.

Tickets for each event are now on sale at www.dogwood.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the VIP tent during the festival if available.

The VIP tent will also be open at night as well for Brats & Brews, where guests can enjoy the live music, delicious brats and $2 beers in comfort. Brats & Brews tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival was named by the Society of American Travel Writers as one of the nation’s Top 10 Spring Festivals in 2015 and by Sunshine Artist magazine as the 9th best festival in America in 2016.
