Sheriff Promotes 35 Fulton County Staff Members

ATLANTA — Fulton County Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat promoted 35 staff members last week in the first such ceremony of his administration.

Eight civilians and 27 law enforcement personnel were promoted as Labat hugged or shook their hands as they each received a certificate and a gift bag.

“These civilian and sworn staff members have more than proven their commitment to
the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and their desire to provide excellent service to the community, in all facets of their respective roles,” Labat said. “It is important for us to recognize their achievement and at the same time, inspire others to rise to leadership positions in the future.”

Sheriff's Office officials noted the sworn officers — law enforcement personnel — will hold their new ranks in an interim capacity until they complete required testing.

“I’m proud of each and every one of you,” he told the staff from the pulpit at the Enon Church in the Atlanta suburb South Fulton before personally congratulating each of them.
