ATLANTA, GA — With St. Patrick’s Day taking place this weekend, the city has plenty of fun and festive activities to offer. For a family-friendly option, head to Midtown’s Colony Square for the 5th Annual St. Patrick's Parade 5K! Run/Walk. Later in the day, check out Ri Ra Irish Pub for what they promise will be a St. Patrick’s Day festival for the books.

The Joshua Show: Episode 2

This month’s featured artist is Dishan Harper, a professional bassist who hails from Atlanta. March Friday Jazz is free with museum admission.

Erykah Badu & Nas Live

Neighborhood: Downtown

It’s rare that a concert boasts not one, but two superstar headliners. To the delight of concert-goers, State Farm Arena will soon welcome both Nas and Erykah Badu. Tickets to the upcoming show range in price from $59 to $250 (sans ticket fees).

5th Annual St. Patrick's Parade 5K! Run/Walk

This weekend, St. Patrick’s Day isn’t all green beer and bar crawls. On Saturday morning, hundreds will head down to Midtown’s Colony Square for the 5th Annual St. Patrick's Parade 5K! Run/Walk. Attendees can expect face paintings for kids, plenty of food trucks and even a complimentary Reformation Brewery draft IPA beer (for those 21 and up) upon completion of the 5K.

Ri Ra Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Outdoor Festival

Neighborhood: Midtown

There’s a number of events taking place in Atlanta for St. Patrick’s Day this weekend, but not many of them take place at an authentic Irish pub. Midtown’s Ri Ra Irish Pub is set to hold what is dubbed “the biggest outdoor festival to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.” There will be live music, food trucks, Irish dancers, plenty of beer and more.

Black Bar Crawl ATL

Neighborhood: Edgewood

Created to support black-owned and black-managed businesses, the Black Bar Crawl is headed to Atlanta this weekend. Among the restaurants and bars taking part are M Bar, The Sound Table and The Royal Peacock. In addition to enjoying drink specials and tunes from a variety of DJs, guests of the bar crawl will also help support black non-profit organizations with the purchase of their ticket.

Atlanta Fair

Neighborhood: Summerhill

Sunday is as good a time as any to head to the fair. Each year, the Atlanta Fair opens its door to those in the city. With the arrival of the Atlanta Fair, there will be plenty of rides, games and fair favorites like cotton candy and funnel cake. Admission to the fair, which does not include rides, ranges in price from $1 to $8 (depending on age).
