Stores, Restaurants Open On Memorial Day 2021 In Atlanta

ATLANTA — Memorial Day is just around the corner in Atlanta. While many will mark the day of remembrance by spending the day with family and friends, it’s important to note which businesses will be open if you head out that day to shop or grab a bite to eat.

While the true meaning of the day is to remember, many also view it as the unofficial start of summer and spend the day gathered with friends and family.

Many local facilities and government offices will close on Memorial Day in remembrance of the men and women who served and gave their lives for the United States.

Here’s a look at what’s open and closed in Atlanta on Memorial Day:

• Fulton County courts, facilities and offices will be closed on Monday.
• Atlanta public safety services are available 365 days per year.
• Municipal offices for Atlanta will be closed.
• Trash will not be collected in Atlanta.
• Fulton County public libraries will be closed on Monday, and will reopen to the public Tuesday, June 1 for daily service.
• Fulton County Schools students are on summer vacation.
• This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed on Monday. No mail will be delivered or sent.
• All banks will be closed.
