Swim With Whale Sharks And Get Your Sip On: Atlanta This Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – If 2020 is your year to go all out, then this weekend in Atlanta provides the perfect chance to do just that. For those who like to walk on the wild side, you will have the opportunity to swim with whale sharks and other marine life as part of the Georgia Aquarium’s Journey With Gentle Giants program.

Prefer to stay dry? You can also catch Celine Dion, one of the world’s most iconic singers, at State Farm Arena. This weekend will also welcome a comic convention, jazz-fueled brunch and a beer tea party.

Be sure to bring your thirst if you attend this unique collaboration between the Stone Mountain Village-based Gilly Brew Bar and Ponce City Market’s Likewise cocktail bar. During this event, Gilly Brew Bar’s unique coffee and tea elixirs will meet Likewise’s bar program “for an incredibly immersive and storytelling takeover.”

Lord Grey & Lord Fog Tea Party Release

New year, new beer. Celebrate the release of two unique offerings (Lord Grey and Lord Fog) from Three Taverns Brewery at its (beer) tea party. Both Lord Grey and Lord Fog are Earl Grey tea sour ales from the brewery that pair delightfully with tea party finger foods, which will be on hand at this weekend’s release.

Celine Dion Live

Your heart probably won’t go on if you miss this live show from Canadian songstress, Celine Dion. As the voice behind a number of timeless songs, including “My Heart Will Go On” and “It’s All Coming Back To Me,” Dion is guaranteed to put on a stellar show for Atlanta fans. Journey With Gentle Giants

Kick off the new year with new and exciting experiences. And what better way to start the year than with a dive alongside whale sharks, zebra sharks, sawfish and rays at the Georgia Aquarium. For $335, those at least 12 years old with an open-water scuba certification can take a 30-minute dive in the aquarium’s Ocean Voyager exhibit.

Atlanta Comic Convention

One of the most frequent comic conventions (four times a year) will return to Atlanta this weekend. The one-day Atlanta Comic Convention will feature over 1 million comic books. Your $5 admission to the convention gets you access to vintage and modern toys, exclusive posters, anime and much more.
