Temperatures Already Rising In Hot-Lanta And It's Just March

It got downright toasty in Atlanta on Tuesday, but temperatures are expected to fall before warming up again this weekend

ATLANTA, Ga. – We still have roughly a third of the month of March to go, and temperatures arealresoaring to a toasty 83 degrees in Atlanta as they did on Tuesday.

What does that mean for the long, summer ahead for Hot-lanta? Stay tuned.

In the meantime, however, things are set to cool off, but the day will still be a nice one on Wednesday as temperatures are expected to remain at a spring-like 71 degrees with partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures will then drop for a few days before bouncing back up into the 70s by Saturday.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 71 degrees. Northwest winds around 5 to 10 mph. Low temperatures will drop to about 47 by nightfall, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers, but mostly cloudy with a high of 53 degrees. East winds around 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Mostly cloudy that night with low of around 45 degrees.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a high temperature near 64 degrees. Mostly cloudy that night with a high of around 54 degrees.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a high near 73 degrees. A 50 percent chance of showers that night, but mostly cloudy with a low temperature of around 57 degrees.

Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers, but mostly cloudy with a high near 71 degrees. A 20 percent chance of showers that night, but mostly cloudy with a low temperature of around 55 degrees.
