A recent study reported that single Atlanta parents may have an edge in finding a partner.

The study analyzed 50 major U.S. cities according to factors related to the potential for success in finding love while parenting. Out of a possible score of 50, Atlanta scored 35.7 points and was ranked #7 in the top 20 cities.

Eight other Southern cities filled the top 20 spots in the study. Generally, these states shared low infant childcare costs and date night babysitter costs, freeing up hopeful Southern singles for dates that don’t require a kids menu. In Atlanta, single parents in search of a partner with prior parenting experience are in luck—single parents make up almost 40% of the city’s population.
