Threat Of Rain In The Forseeable Forecast For The Metro Atlanta Area
Temperatures will soar to nearly 80 degrees on Tuesday, but the metro Atlanta area faces the possibility of rain for much of the week

ATLANTA, Ga. – Hope everybody in Atlanta enjoyed the sunny weather for the last few days because there doesn’t figure to be many more such days over the next week as the threat of rain instead figures prominently.
Temperatures, however, figure to be delightfully warm with a high of near 80 degrees on Tuesday before cooler temperatures resume on Thursday. Temperatures will again spike by the weekend, but the chances of rain will continue to stick around.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy during the day, with a high of around 79 degrees. West winds 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 mph. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m. A chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday night, mainly before 11 p.m., then a slight chance of thunderstorms after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. West winds 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Wednesday: Slight chance of thundershowers between 7 and 8 a.m., followed by slight chance of showers after 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a high of near 71 degrees. A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy on Wednesday night, with a low of around 46 degrees. Northeast winds of 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Thursday: A 10 percent chance of showers before 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 55 degrees. Mostly cloudy on Thursday night, with a low of around 45 degrees.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 64 degrees. A 20 percent chance of showers, both in the day and at night. Mostly cloudy that night with a low around 54 degrees.
