ATLANTA, GA -- Police are investigating the cause of a train derailment that sent a rail car into a man's bedroom early Thursday. The homeowner, asleep in bed, went to the hospital with minor injuries, according to news reports.

As many as 13 rail cars left the tracks, Atlanta fire spokesman Cortez Stafford told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "You're sleeping in your bed, and you hear a large rumble and you hear a large crash," he told the newspaper. "So he's very fortunate that he's alive right now."
