Tropical Storm Elsa Hits GA Coast, Injures 10 At Naval Base
Elsa has moved out of Georgia, but not before hitting the southeast coast. Storms are still expected across the state through next week.

GEORGIA — Tropical Storm Elsa is now tracking northeast into eastern North Carolina, but not before it left damage on the southeast Georgia coast.
A tornado touched down at the RV park at the Kings Bay Naval Base in St. Marys late Wednesday evening, with "multiple injuries" and RV damage reported, Kings Bay officials said in a Facebook post. Around 10 people were transported to local medical facilities from the RV park, base spokesperson Scott Bassett told The Weather Channel.
Base officials said everyone staying at the RV park has since been accounted for.

While Elsa is not a direct threat for Georgia as of Thursday, the storm is still expected to send rain and scattered thunderstorms across north and central Georgia through next Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service's hazardous weather outlook bulletin Thursday morning.
"A few storms each day may become strong, capable of producing gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning," the NWS said in the bulletin.
