ATLANTA, GA — The Main TSA checkpoint at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been closed for a deep cleaning after a TSA agent tested positive for COVID-19.
Mark Howell with TSA told WSB-TV that the employee worked on Tuesday from 3:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. The screener was notified Wednesday of the positive test results. That individual did come in contact with the public.
Howell said TSA hopes to have the Main checkpoint cleaned and open by Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
