'The Walking Dead' Filming To Close Atlanta Street

The production company is using a parking lot on private property as "an apocalyptic parking lot."

ATLANTA, GA — A part of an Atlanta road will be closed Wednesday for filming of the widely popular AMC series "The Walking Dead," according to a city council member.

A southbound lane of Avon Avenue, between Murphy Avenue and Sylvan Road will close from 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., according to a document posted by City Council Member Joyce Sheperd.

According to the permit, shared by Sheperd, Stalwart Productions LLC, while filming season 10 of the show, is doing some standard filming on location. They requested an "empty lot we're using as an apocalyptic parking lot. All filming will take place on private property."
