What's Open, Closed On New Year's Day In Atlanta
On New Year's Day 2020 in Atlanta, most businesses will still be open. All government offices will be closed, including libraries.
ATLANTA, GA — Malls around Atlanta have released their New Year’s Eve and day shopping hours. Greenbriar Mall, Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza have special business hours. Libraries and government state offices will be closed.
Greenbriar Mall will be open both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lenox Square will be open on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Phipps Plaza will be open on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The MARTA will run on Dec. 31. Trains will operate on a modified Saturday schedule with 15 minute frequencies. At 6pm, the rail frequency will increase to 12 minutes until the end of revenue. Atlanta Streetcar will run on a Saturday schedule. Buses will run on a Saturday schedule.

Atlanta public libraries in Fulton County will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
