The man refused to exit a vehicle that was stopped after "shots fired" call.

One man was arrested Sunday afternoon following an hour-long standoff with police in Winder.
Winder Police said in a news release that Quentin Alexander, 20, of Statham faces multiple charges stemming from a “shots fired” incident around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30.
Police responded to an area on Lily Drive after a caller reported hearing gun shots and seeing several suspects enter a car and flee the scene.

But, Alexander stayed in the car and refused to come out of the car, police said, beginning an hour-long standoff that included the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. The intersection was closed during the incident.
Alexander eventually came out of the vehicle and was arrested without incident. A semi-automatic pistol was found in the car, police said.
“I am most pleased that the incident ended safely with no one being injured. I want to thank Sheriff Jud Smith and the officers of his department that responded and assisted with the incident,” Winder Police Chief Jim Fullington said in the news release.
Alexander was charged with aggravated assault, obstruction and cruelty to children. The five adults were taken to the police department for questioning.
Additional charges are possible
