699 Voters Decide Winder Council Race
Of those who cast ballots in the runoff, more than half voted early.

After none of the three candidates secured a majority vote in the Nov. 5 election, a winner has now emerged in the runoff for Winder City Council.
According to Barrow County Elections Supervisor Monica Franklin, unofficial results show incumbent Bob Dixon received 376 votes to Lorin Sinn-Clark's 323. Of the 699 ballots cast, 351 were cast in person during the early voting period and 31 were by absentee ballot.
In a post on her Barrow Patch blog, Sinn-Clark thanked her family, friends and supporters.
"I am proud of the campaign we ran. I am proud of the voter interest we generated. I feel confident we paved the way for change in the future," she wrote.
