With the pandemic, graduation plans have been modified this year to ensure adequate physical distancing and other mitigation tactics to keep our students, staff, and families safe. When these plans were developed earlier this spring, district leadership set the stadium capacity at 30%, and schools allocated each graduate three (3) tickets for guests to attend graduation in-person.

As conditions with the pandemic have continued to improve, the district has approved an increase in stadium capacity to 50%. Based on this AHS and WBHS will increase ticket allotment to 5 tickets per graduate. BCSS hopes to be able to increase that ticket allotment further, but the decision is dependent on community spread levels prior to the event. All participants and guests will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth while in attendance.
Currently, Barrow County is in the yellow virus community spread level, and it has been increasing slightly over the past few days. We continue to monitor our situation on a daily basis and make decisions based on the data.
As a reminder, tailgating and other group gatherings are not permitted on the school campus during graduations. We encourage friends and family to watch our graduations online instead from home. Thank you.
