Action! The Barrow County School System is proud to celebrate the 2020 and 2021 Yes I Can Awards!

Join us virtually for a "Night at the Movies" at 6 p.m. on May 18 for the 2020 awards and on May 20 for the 2021 awards. We will stream the awards live on our Facebook page at those times!

Each of the students we will be celebrating were nominated by their teacher and chosen to represent their school based on outstanding accomplishments. The Yes I Can award is modeled after the state and national award given by the Council for Exceptional Children that is awarded to students based on a number of achievements both at school and in the community. Any student in Barrow County who has an IEP was eligible for this award.

If you are wondering what an honor this recognition is, these 16 students were chosen from over 2000 students in Barrow County. What an achievement! These students represent a small fraction of our exceptional students here in Barrow County, so just being selected to represent each school is quite an accomplishment. We are excited to honor each of our students for their outstanding achievements. Come join us, as we honor these outstanding students, teachers, families and all of Barrow County School System. We are extremely proud of our all-star cast!
