Facebook Users Show Support for Resident Who Lost Mother, Husband to Apparent Murder-Suicide

Jennifer Muriu has received condolences and expressions of support from Facebook users after posting an update Aug. 1 on the Spitfire Restaurant's Facebook page. 

The Bethlehem woman lost her mother and husband to an apparent murder-suicide Monday, July 29. She and her husband, Ian Muriu, the suspected gunman, had recently bought the restaurant located at the Barrow County Airport. 

Jennifer Muriu shared the following post, along with a photo of her late husband and mother: 

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for ALL the kind words. My LOVE Ian and my MOM will ALWAYS be in my heart and are truely missed so....much. We were so....excited to buy The Spitfire Restaurant and had so....many hopes and dreams. We appreciated all of our guests and we were happy you all were becoming our friends. Thank you.
