Local Church Giving Away School Supplies

The Church @ Pierce Road wants to help send children in need to school with supplies. 

The church is holding a back-to school event from 5 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 2, and will be giving away supplies and donated clothing. The church is located at 231 Pierce Road in Winder.

"If they've got a need, we want to meet them as long as we can," Pastor Terry Hawkins said. 

The church will give out supplies and clothing while they last and will take names for those who don't receive any items in hopes that the church can still help. 

Anyone who would like to donate school supplies can do so by dropping items off at the church after 1 p.m. today. For more information, call Pastor Hawkins at 678-372-9323.
