No Lane Closures Planned for Downtown Winder but Work on Retaining Walls Continues
Lane closures are set to resume the week of July 8.

No lane closures are planned for downtown Winder this week, the Georgia Department of Transportation has announced.Â
Daytime work is scheduled to continue, however, on retaining walls along the eastern side of SR 11/Broad Street in front of Locos Grill & Pub, Skip's Hawaiian Ice and American Pest Control.Â
Lane closures will resume the week of July 8.

The ongoing work is part of a .72-mile long, almost $5 million project to rebuild Broad Street from the ground up, creating a stronger driving surface that the DOT says will last decades. Enhancement work includes new sidewalks, curb and gutter, benches, lighting and landscaping.
