Nordstrom Says It's Closing Store at Mall of Georgia
Company said it didn't do enough business to stay open; 174 employees will be impacted.

Nordstrom is closing its store at the Mall of Georgia, the company said in a press release Wednesday.
The store will stay open until Feb. 28, 2015. The company said 174 non-seasonal employees will be impacted by the closure.
“We have a great team at the Mall of Georgia store and we’ve enjoyed serving our customers here, but despite our team’s best efforts, the bottom line is that we simply don’t do enough business here to continue operating the store into the future,” said Jamie Nordstrom, president of stores for the company, said in the press release. “We had the opportunity to end our lease and in looking at our options, it made the most sense for our business to make the decision to close the store.”
