Two More Suspects Arrested in Home Invasion Murder of Brian Whitfield
Both are charged with murder in the early-December murder near Auburn.

Gwinnett Police say two more suspects are in custody for the shooting death of Brian Whitfield during a Dec. 6 home invasion in eastern Gwinnett County.
The GCPD Homicide Unit has charged Kathryn Amelia Voight, 27, and Marckell Honeycutt, 16, with one count each of armed robbery and felony murder, according to a news release emailed Monday afternoon.

Voight, of Atlanta, is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County jail. Honeycutt, who is being charged as an adult due to the severity of the crimes, is being held at a regional youth detention center, police said.
Already charged in the case is Marquavis Benton, who was arrested Dec. 12 in Griffin. Benton remains jailed without bond.

Whitfield was found shot to death in his driveway at 1735 Flowery Branch Road in unincorporated Gwinnett near Auburn.
Police have released few details on the case.
“Information on the exact roles [the suspects] played will not be released at this time,” police said in the news release.
