Sen. Isakson to Speak to Rotary Club of Social Circle
He will speak from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday Aug. 25 at Magnolia Hall.

U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., will speak to the Rotary Club of Social Circle on Monday, Aug. 25, the senator announced in a press release.
Isakson will provide a general update from Washington, D.C., and discuss his recent visits to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs facilities throughout Georgia. Isakson will also discuss two of the major threats facing the United States today – terrorism’s threat to our homeland security and the debt and deficit.
The event is scheduled 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Magnolia Hall, located at 147 North Cherokee Road.

Following the rotary meeting, Isakson will hold a public town hall meeting in Covington, Ga., from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Georgia Perimeter College’s Newton County campus.
Sen. Isakson is a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee and was a Senate negotiator on the conference committee that produced the bipartisan, bicameral agreement on the Veterans’ Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014 to improve care at VA health care facilities across the country.
